Chatham County SchoolsChatham County is one of the largest counties in North Carolina – its student population is expected to grow by 5,500 students in the next nine years. In addition to the growth in student population, two new schools will be opening in 2020 and 2021. The first Chatham County elementary school site was also identified in North Village Chatham Park. Chatham County Schools currently has 9,196 students enrolled in 20 schools. These schools have top-notch programs including 31 AP courses, an internationally recognized Dual Language Program, a Science and Engineering Early College Program, and many more. Chatham County improved its scores in all tested subjects and grades just last year!

Thales Academy in April 2022, Thales Academy, a private K-12 school with 12 campuses in North Carolina, opened its Pittsboro campus in Vineyards at Chatham Park educating kindergarten through 7th graders. Welcoming Thales Academy provides Chatham Park students with the opportunity to experience a high-quality educational program while also experiencing the innovative spirit of a community that is constantly growing and changing. Chatham Park donated 17 acre of land in the Vineyards area to Thales Academy to build the new school. Bob Luddy, the founder and chairman of Thales Academy, says that Thales’ mission is to develop tomorrow’s leaders through teaching students to think instead of telling them what they should think. Amazing Explorers Academy Coming soon to Vineyards at Chatham Park is Amazing Explorers Academy. The STEAM curriculum is a pioneering educational destination for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. It encourages positive and lifelong learning. The program focuses on fostering early learning skills such as exploring, investigating and social learning. It also integrates science, mathematics and technology. The STEAM program at the academy is different from the curriculums offered by many daycares and pre-schools in the area. It takes a more hands-on approach, engaging children’s curiosity and encouraging them to learn 21st century skills. Amazing Explorers Academy offers a range of summer and vacation programs in addition to their standard curriculum. The STEM-themed summer camps will be available to Chatham County kids ages 5-12 and provide them with engaging experiences. Amazing Explorers Academy is also within walking or biking distance of residents in Vineyards at Chatham Park. Central Carolina Community College is one of many schools in the area, including Duke University, NC State University and University of North Carolina. These schools are ranked nationally.
