Jump into Wake Forest’s new outdoor aqua park.
Prepare to have your very own Wipeout moment. Recently bowed in Wake Forest, Fantasy Lake Adventure Park brings the fun—and maybe a fair share of bruises (worth it!)—to your summer.
Bounce over to the former rock quarry for inflatables, floating cabanas, an overlook deck, fire pits, palm trees and more to fit your fair weather fancy—whether you’re all about the hops or would rather wave from the shore, drink in hand. Fun fact: The beach feats 40 tractor-trailers worth of sand transported from Topsail Beach.
And scuba divers, don’t fret. The park will still offer diving hours—plus an event and wedding venue coming soon (!) for those into heart palpitations in more ways than one. … “It’s active, open-water recreation—very much back to nature. We’re using the quarry—which is a beautiful property—and they’ve done a great job at really creating a destination for the day,” says Commercial Recreation Specialists President Ron Romens. “Plus, it’s sustainable and active recreation!”
Adds Daniel Cox, the aqua park’s owner: “It’s fun for everybody. My kids and my nieces and nephews love it. They’re on it; I’m on it—and it brings something for everybody.” We’ll see ya on the water! gofantasylake.com
