Glenville, N.C. — A home for sale in Cashiers, North Carolina looks like something you’d see in the movies.
Tucked away in the Blue Ridge mountains, on top of a pinnacle on Laurel Knob, is a mansion listed for sale at $7.9 million.
The architecture for the home on Sheer Rock Road mirrors a castle and even has a stone tower on it.
According to the estate’s Zillow listing, the man who designed the home, Jeffrey Dungan, built the tower at request from the home’s original owner. It was modeled after fire towers built by the National Parks Service in the late 1800s to warn people about forest fires.
The mansion features a two-story infinity swimming pool with a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge mountains below.
Also on the more than 20 acres of land for sale is: a guest house barn, a nearby wine cellar dug into the side of a hill, a cooking gazebo, a camp house, a greenhouse a chicken coop and a dog park, the Zillow listing says.
The home was built in 2019 and was put on the market in October 2021 by Jody Lovell with Highlands Sotheby’s International Realty.
