Raleigh, N.C. — Plans for a new mixed-used development building in downtown Raleigh’s warehouse district were made public on Friday by Kane Realty Corporation.
The company said they submitted plans to the city to build 240 apartment units, 4,000 square feet of retail space and a parking deck at the corner of South West Street and West Cabarrus Street.
According to a spokesperson with Kane Realty, these units would be “luxury apartments.” The estimated cost of rent has not yet been determined.
The building will have five levels of apartments, two levels of parking and a ground floor of retail space, according to a press release from Kane Realty.
Residents of the building will have access to co-working spaces, a fitness center, a pool and a sky lounge.
This is the company’s second project in downtown Raleigh’s warehouse district. A 442-unit apartment building with some retail space in Raleigh’s west end is expected to open in January 2024.
In part of the group’s plan to build the 442-unit apartment building, they are also building sidewalks to make Raleigh’s west end more walkable.
Kane Realty is a well-known developer in the area. The group is responsible for building the Bank of America tower along Six Forks Road, along with several other apartments and offices in North Hills.
