Raleigh, N.C. — A north Raleigh home that just went on the market looks like something straight out of Beverly Hills.
Which is no wonder – because it belongs to 12-time gospel Grammy award winner Shirley Caesar, pastor of Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church in Raleigh, who also appeared on NBC’s new show, “Little Big Shots: Forever Young.”
The bright entryway has tall windows draped in gold curtains, marbled floors, a grand staircase – and even a full chandelier dangling overhead.
Romanesque pillars create an indoor archway, through which a grand piano makes a classic and bold statement piece.
The bathroom looks straight out of Hellenic Greece, with white urns and even a full carved statue of a woman draped in white.
There’s even a Star Wars-themed movie theater, designed to look like stepping into a starship, complete with neon lights, shielded ‘blast doors,’ and a full-sized Darth Vader and Storm Trooper guarding the popcorn booth.
The home movie theater has a marquis and poster highlighting the ‘Night’s Feature,’ and a silver and black couch with aliens sitting nearby. There’s a large theater screen in front of multiple fluffy, purple seats – so an entire fleet of friends could come visit for a movie night.
The home is listed on Zillow for $1.5 million dollars.
The four-level estate is over 8,700 square feet and sits on 1.85 acres that feature a gazebo and pond. It has a full gym, home theater, 5-car garage and walk-in closets.
The Triangle has been experiencing a real estate boom in the wake of the pandemic, with home-owners able to sell their houses for up to 20% above this same time last year. Buyers have been competing for home-ownership during a period of low supply and high demand.
For a full look at the home, you can see all the photos on Zillow, or sign up to take a tour and see it in person for yourself.
